Rules

WRCC follows the BRCA technical rules where available for all its racing classes, although these are not strictly enforced, and we place a strong emphasis on participation over regulation. Please refer to the “Classes” section to find rules for each of our supported classes.

As a BRCA affiliated club we must adhere to the BRCA General Rules which cover the health and safety of competitors and the event, the conduct of participants and the safe use of equipment. The BRCA General rules can be found in your BRCA Members Handbook or online at www.brca.org.

In addition to the above we also require that competitors respect and adhere to the following.

  • All racers are required to take an active part in the running of club events. This in-cludes helping with the setting up and packing away of the track markers and carpet.
  • Marshalling – you are required to marshal as directed by race control (usually the race immediately after your own) at the positions indicated.
  • Drivers must not leave the rostrum until race over is declared or as instructed by race control.
  • Any car considered to be causing damage to the racing surface will be instructed to stop.
  • The use of bad language and shouting at marshals or club officials will not be tolerated.
  • All drivers must possess current BRCA membership following the completion of no more than three race events.
  • Batteries MUST be charged and discharged in an approved container (e.g. LiPo sack)
  • Only tyre additives approved for use by the BRCA 1/12 Circuit Section are permitted. The list of approved additives is available here; https://www.brca.org/gt-circuit-home/12th-circuit-documents/current/2043-allowed-additive-list-v40-2023
  • Encourage a positive environment both on and off the track by following the BRCA’s #racewithrespect initiative; https://www.brca.org/racer-hub/race-with-respect
